This course covers a wide variety of modules, from science to different pollution issues, from ecology to microbiology etc., which equipped me with multiple theoretical knowledge as well as practical skills.

The great connection of the Institute with the industry offered different industrial attachment experiences and helped me to find my way to ecology and conservation. The lecturers were patient and passionate, they were very happy to discuss with students and help students in need after class.

After the completion of this Higher Diploma programme, I was awarded the Alistair Harvey Foundation Scholarship to pursue further study in the UK.

After secondary school study, I struggled to choose my future career in the medical field. Fortunately, studying in Higher Diploma in Rehabilitation Services gave me an opportunity to understand the roles of different allied health professions. I also had many chances to participate in numerous health-related community engagements and attachment programmes in different clinical settings, which developed on my interest in the field of physiotherapy.

With the guidance of the tutors, I took a great opportunity to complete a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Physiotherapy at Coventry University (UK) after my graduation of the programme, and became a registered physiotherapist.

Two-year professional and rigorous training in IVE had equipped me with necessary trait and quality of a dispenser.Apart from study, lecturers also encouraged me to actively participate in various volunteer activities.

Through these services, I had the opportunities to work with doctors, nurses, and district board members of different medical institutions, which further strengthen my aspiration to be a healthcare professional to serve the community and contribute to the society.

Programmes offered by IVE are both theoretical and practical. When I was studying for the HD in Chemical Technology, we had the chance in operating chemical instruments that would be used in commercial laboratories. Practical laboratory session also helped me to understand the theories behind and acquire hand-on experiences on conducting chemical experiment. Meanwhile, industrial attachment provided me a working opportunity that helps me to adapt to the real working situation.

After graduation from IVE, I was admitted to The University of Hong Kong for my further study in order to equip myself for my future career.
